[Antennas] Cobra Antenna

I have read about the Cobra antenna on several sites and also saw the
reviews on eHam.net. From the reviews it seems like a decent
performer.

The original article seems to say the length was derived from the
available space he had to deploy it.
Does anyone know if there is a formula to determine its length?
Has anyone modeled it?
Does the 1/8 wave length for the ladderline still work or does it need
to be 100 ft?
