[Antennas] Gamma Match

Alan, I built a 4 element Yagi-Uda bean antenna on a 14 feet boom.  The 
gamma match is a 24-inch log, 1/2-inch  diameter tubing, separated from the 
element 5 inches. The capacitor is formed by inserting the tubing in a 
3/4-inch  diameter by 5 5/16 inch tubing, separated by a piece of 
polystyrene hose. The shorting bar is located 24 inches from the feed pint, 
at the center of the driven element.  The dimensions come from the ARRL 
Antenna Book, 1974 edition.  It perfectly (1:1) matches the antenna to the 
50 ohm feed line. Good luck.
