If my memory serves....
find a location in your yard, somewhere in the clear,
butt the reflector to the ground
if it makes you feel better, place it on a 2x4 to get it off the actual ground
point it straight up, (in the clear, no wires a few feet above it)
if need be, use some rope to stabilize it
then do your tuning
this will get you in the ball park
then put it on it's final resting place and see how it plays
after having seen how the adjustments worked
while getting it tuned on the ground
and being so close to the correct setting,
you will be able to tweak it now
for what you want it's final settings to be
good luck
