[Antennas] Elevated Radials

I have a HyGain AV-14AVQ trapped vertical for 40-20-15-10m and plan to
install it on my house roof. I understand the manufacturer's radial
requirement of a fanned layout, but I wish to reduce the visible impact of
the "wires in the sky", as my wife calls it.
The specifications call for two radials per band and I can increase it to
four radials per band by cutting them from insulated wire and cable-tie four
bundles of 40-20-15-10m radials. The effect would be that there are only
four "thick wires" visible. I tried this before at a different installation
and the antenna seemed to work well.
What would the effect be on the efficiency of the radials when the four
different radials are bundled together?
