I agree with John's recommendation...have a NMO-270B (black) for over 10 years..still looks and works great...on top of a E350 van for the last 3 years or so..before that, rode on top of my Chevy Blazer...the 3/4in NMO mount is best for roof mount...do it right and you'll NEVER have a leak, etc...the NMO is short enough to miss most overhead issues and it's springy too with the open coil design (I also ran the old version with closed coil...ok but it wasnt as flexible). Larsens can handle the power you intend to run.
