[Antennas] Vertical question re current balun

The vertical will be a 3/8 wave ground mounted with 4 slightly elevated
radials
fed at the base through a series capacitor to tune out the inductive
reactance 
which by rights would pretty well make the feedline look into 50 ohms.

Just thought if the I balun were located 1/4 wave from the feed point the
feedline 
between the balun and feed point would act like one more radial.
