[Antennas] radials in the septic field trenches

a freind asked me if he should bury radials in the leach trenches of his 
septic field that is being installed.

I kind of felt they wouldn't last, that the wires would be rotted away.

He's planning his tower base in the middle of the field.

What say you guys?
