[Antennas] QST Mobile Antenna Comparisons

I'm with you, David. I think the QST article could lead to a misimpression
of the performance of screwdriver antennas in general.

An interesting test might include several different screwdriver antennas
across several bands.

I have a sturdy 3-mag mount base on the trunk of my car. The trunk height
and the roof of the passenger compartment are such that the antenna is not
very obstructed. The mag mount is secured to the car via a removable bungy
cord to the lip of the trunk. The base of the mag mount (trunk level) is
about 3'-6" off the pavement. The frame of the mag mount should be no
higher than about 3'-8".

I thought that some of the screwdriver units that work with a 6' or so whip
might do nicely. 75 meters is not a must for me. 60 meters and up will be
fine.

Are any of the various screwdriver antennas offered able to be attached via
the traditional 3/8"-24 bolt found in the simplier mobile antennas?
