I have heard the same thing about the high power coil...the only Hustler coil I have is the RM17 which I added to my Valor ProAM AB-5 using the 3 coil mount adaptor from Hustler...so now my ProAM is a 6 band antenna! (80. 40, 20, 17, 15, 10)..but I plan to maybe add 12 mtrs the mix as well with a RM12. Will likely have to play with the coil locations because I havent gotten the 17M whip down to 18MHz yet (show reasonance around 16 Mhz..maybe some interaction with the other bands!)
As for the stinger lengths, I would also "guess" the longer whip would go on the lowest band...but not sure....Why just just throw the 80mtr coil, try the various stingers and see where they hit min SWR.....then the other coils and stingers and choose the best match...
BTW you can also contact Hustler via their web site: www.new-tronics.com
They have a link on the SERVICE tab to email the service dept.
You can also try Google and see if you can find some info there.
