[Antennas] Looking for radar echo-box help

   I'm trying to check out an old echo-box type tester for a radar 
altimeter.  I have limited microwave / radar experience, and I'd like to 
ask a couple of dumb-newby type questions regarding proper test methods.
I maybe have the right set-up in place, but if I do, then this thing is No 
Longer, as Monty Python might say. I'd like to know for sure, tho.

   If you are (older) radar-testing literate, please reply off-list to me 
privately if possible, and we'll go from there.  I'm sure there are "smack 
forehead - roll eyes" type answers to my questions - no Rocket Science 
here...  ;}
