This antenna doesn't work on 80, just 40-2 meters. It is a dipole on 10-2 meters and a loaded dipole on all the other frequencies using loading coils. I take mine with me whenever I travel out of the country and want to operate. While it works well on 20-10 meters, it is just too much loading coil for 40 and even with 100 watts you are pretty weak.
The workmanship is very good and it does fit in a small bag [tripod, antenna, leading and all the fittings].
I think it is a little expensive for what it is, but just the same it is well engineered and performs as you would expect it to. The main plus is its portibility.

It's dead handy to run from an hotel balcony, or on the roof,
beach etc. It's really well made, and packs REAL small. It's quite efficient for a small antenna, but you can NEVER get a gallon from a pint bottle. I can carry my FT857, PSU, Buddipole, and all the bits and bobs in a small holdall.. It's neat.. I love it.
