[Antennas] 80m 1/4 wave and low impedance

I have enough 1/4 wave radials under my 80 meter
vertical now that I have the impedance down
to below 30 ohms. Close to 100 radials.

It started out pretty close to 1.2 -1 at 3510
before I started adding radials.

Now it is best at 3575 at 1.7 -1.

I could lengthen it a bit again to get that 1.7 - 1
closer to my CW portion of band.

It is 1.9 - 1 at 3510 so not too bad and it is flatter
further across the band now just a bit higher
at it's best point than it was before

The handbook says to use 75 ohm feed from antenna a
1/4 wave lenth of RG-8 then to 75 ohm to rig.

But the antenna is only a little over a 1/4 wave
from the house. And I wonder how the RG-8 in all my
short cables, amp, tuner, wattmeter would effect
the 75 ohm feed to the 1/4 wave RG-8? a 1/4 wave
of 75 would mean it almost would reach the rig
and I would have a coil of coax somewhere.

Is there a magic matching transformer, well beside
the tuner? I figure if I'm using
a tuner it's not a good antenna. Or is there a
better easier way to match it for CW portion again?
How is everyone else dealing with 1/4 wave
verticals/ radials and
this?

  Thanks
  73 Kevin
