Hi

I found a reference to DXSR-FVD4 antenna http://f6kal.free.fr/DXSR.htm
and sounded me interesting so I built my home-brew version with wire of
0.5mm diameter (not aluminium pipe) using a fishing pole of 11m. First
at all, I tried to model the antenna (according to the comercial
comments it provides low swr in almost all the bands) but I only was
able to get such low swr in 20 and 40m (also in real situation tested
with my MFJ259). I used MMANA to model it.

How they can get low swr (I mean no tuner is needed) for all of bands
with only one balun if every band shows different values of
impedances??? Is there any special technique to build the balun? I'm
using a 4:1 currently, for 20m I was able to be very close to 200ohms of Z.

Any comment or suggestion will be appreciated

Thanks

73 Juan, EA5XQ
