[Antennas] PRB-1

It amazes me to read how many hams cannot put up an antenna due to covenant
restrictions. Don't you guys READ your restrictions before making an offer
on a home? Don't you spend a couple of hundred dollars for an attorney to
look over it to advise you of all the details? If not then shame on you.

The first thing I did prior to the purchase of my house was ask if there
were any restrictions whatsoever on ham radio antennas and I demanded to
have an up to date valid copy of the restrictions before I made an offer.
Just to be sure I spent the 200 dollars for my attorney to not only look it
over but to ensure if there were any add ons to the restrictions at a later
date by the homeowners association that I would have a valid lawsuit
pending.

I would never live in any development where I have to have the homeowners
association's permission to plant a daisy or a shrub. You signed the dotted
line!!

It's not me that's complaining....just pointing out how it is.
Besides, I don't live in Texas or would be stupid enough to do something
like buying in an area like that.
You need to talk like that to the guy who put up that antenna in the
movie....not me.

You know, If you knew that these restrictions were in force when you
bought the home, either live with them or move. It's as simple as that!
All the crying you want to do on this reflector is not going to change
anything. Complain to someone who can help you! Become active in your
local, city, state politics and become a thorn in the side of your
representative. Point out all the good you are doing for "Homeland
Security".
Just my $0.02.
