Well, it is all about keeping the surface clean and shiny. 

The facts that their kids are addicted to TV, probably on drugs and that their bank accounts are almost overdrawn doesn't matter.

I'm pretty ticked at the way this station presented it.  It was a horrible dis-service to this country to portray hams, who help with so many emergencies, as the bad guys.  It came across as saying that since antennas are ugly, to them, then they're not worth it.  How ignorant is that?
