[Antennas] PRB-1

Sooner or later someone is going to actually read PRB-1 and understand
that PRB-1 does not override the damned covenants.
Then, he will have to take it down.

Covenants are what is killing amateur radio, not all the other reasons
guys come up with.
The Tulsa area has several good VHF/UHF repeaters, probably more than I
thought necessary until I realized that this huge area has almost no HF
antennas in view.
Listening on the HF bands pretty much confirms that there is little
activity in the area because there are no antennas allowed in
subdivisions.
There are few homes that anyone would live in that are not in a
subdivision.
There are hundreds of thousands of acres of vacant land around here with
many, many radio and TV towers, cell towers, commercial towers, huge
power lines, power poles everywhere.
There are 2000 foot towers right across the property line from
subdivisions whose covenants prevent any antennas including satellite TV
dishes.
I know of 2 subdivisions that have major power lines on huge steel
towers that cut right through the area.....yep, no antennas allowed.
Developers are like the bully on the street....they only control someone
who is less powerful than they are and make you sign your rights away
just to live somewhere.

It's nuts.

Land developers and their damned covenants are the real reason amateur
radio is dwindling.
