FW: [Antennas] 2M Antenna Pre-Amp (erratum)

Hi Gary,

("Intermit" should read "intermod". My spell-checker disobeyed orders.)

The Icom AG-25 will work, but Advanced Receiver Research also makes an
excellent line of RF preamps. Some of these are RF-switched.

You may need to place a preselector filter in the input signal path to
protect the preamp from intermod in mobile service. Electrical noise from
the vehicle may also be a serious issue in modes other than FM.

Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [Antennas] 2M Antenna Pre-Amp

Hello to All,

Can anyone recommend a good mobile pre-amp for 2 meters? I have an Icom 706
MKIIG that I am going to run mobile. I need an in-line pre-amp that will
handle txcv. I know that Icom makes a nice pre-amp that is designed to be
mast-mounted (I think it is the
ac-g25) but I don't know if this will work for a mobile set-up or not. Any
recommendations?

Thanks es 73 de Gary
