At a recent hamfest, picked up an H-P 8405A Vector

Voltmeter.

I'd be grateful for any tips, hints, jig and fixture

designs or other info regarding the use of this

device.

I was fortunate enough to get the special BNC - probe

"TEE" connectors with it but would like to get the

isolator kit as well.

I am most interested in using this instrument to tune

traps for a 30-40-80 meter dipole. (conventional

lumped element traps) Any special precautions or

techniques that I need to do that will make this

procedure "on the nose" would be appreciated.

An apparently 18th generation (HI!) photocopy of the

manual came with it, late of the Army. I've "Googled"

for a site where a manual might be downloaded but have

only found a location where a service manual can be

had. ("bama")

Any help in downloading a manual would be most

appreciated.

HPE C U IN VHF NST this weekend!
