I have started with Mininec many years ago. Then I have been using EZNEC for
quite a some time. For the last few years I figured MMANA is the best for
me. When you need to model horisontal wires less then 0.1 WL from the ground
use NEC2 for MMANA. It overcomes the limitations of the MININEC that MMANA
is based on.

The site is mainly in Russian but there is translation available on the site
to several languages including English.
