Actually, it will work great if it is for the lower bands (typically 80-40)....it will just
make your dipole a good NVIS antenna (cloud warmer).
Will work great for 'local' work.
Lots of hams are doing this to improve the NVIS signal.
On the higher bands, just move it from under the dipole to the side and make it a
Yagi instead.....
