[Antennas] Antenna switching

After "popping" the lamp in the front end of
my FT-102 I have been looking at ways to have
both my Hybrid radios on and limit the danger to
blowing out the front ends.

I'm not multi multi contesting, but it is nice to
have one rig tuned up and ready to go on one band
and the other tuned ready on another.

(By the way....So how is it the big multi multi op's
don't risk the other receivers front ends?)

MFJ has a 6 tranceiver 6 antenna switch combo.
Seems like a good "all in one" solution.
Is it ok/safe?

Or I am wondering how it would work to use one of the
2 way switches I have backwards (Daiwa), two
trancievers on the backside A/B to say another to the
single output to a 4 way or 6 way switch
to the antennas?

Radio__ ____ant 1
       \____/----ant 2
Radio__/ \----ant 3
             \___ant 4

Safe enough?

Previously I had been using two 2 way switches
with one rig to two antennas (no amp - log and 30m)
and the other rig to the other two antennas (40 and
80m - through amp).

How is it done best?
