..the GOOD PL259's don't have Teflon insulation. The best ones use a
proprietary Bakelite material from Amphenol, green or brown. They make the
best units on the market today, so that's the ones to look for.

I use Suhner connectors from Switzerland or Telegartner from Germany.  Both
companies make high quality professional products.

You may not be able to buy these products in the USA and you will find
equivalent connectors from Amphenol.
