[Antennas] Mobile Mount (VW)

A week or so ago I had a question about through the glass mounts -
seems as though VW Passat 2003 and up use a special glass with metal
flacks in the glass for tinting... SO it didn't work... I have a 2004
- New question is:
Anyone have a VW Passat Wagon 2003 or newer ? If so how did you mount
your antenna ? I want to use an antenna for 2 mtrs only - 1/2 wave or
5/8 wave (ground not needed), Clearance between back (tail gate) door
and roof is very tight, and I need a mount that will clear the roof
when the gate is opened - Don't want to drill holes in roof.
