[Antennas] wanted antenna analyzer

Brad, something's not right somewhere.  I match my 80M EDZ (344'  long 
fed with ladderline) easily with  the VMB.  If my recollection serves, 
the impedance of the EDZ is about 275 + j400 or so.  The VMB should have 
no problem with that.  I would double check your setup.
