   Larry   et al,

       Don't  be  naive, the coax length does matter !  Just think length
   matters !!!!    and you will never go wrong.

       In  a perfect antenna in free space, maybe length is not an issue,
   but I have not seen one of them yet.

   Larry,
   The  length  of  the  coax  should  make  no  difference.  The G5RV is
   nothing  more
   than  a  shortened  80M  antenna  with  a  twinlead matching stub.  If
   the  length of
   coax  affects  the  tuning,  then  it  means  that  you  don't  have a
   good  match to
   the  antenna  and  need  to  adjust  either  the  ends or the matching
   section  to
   bring down the SWR.
