Ah Ha! Maybe I am beginning to see the problem better, thanks.
The wire tuner, the AH-4's output, would be seeing a 30-50 ohm load of a
resonating vertical instead of hundreds or thousands that a wire end would
present, and it is not made to see that small impedence of a
tuned/resonated vertical.
So, I guess it won't work, at least not without some sort of Hi-Lo
transformer or balun??
Does that make sense to any one else?
