Trying to set up a Solarcon Inc A-99 on 10m  29.520/29620 FM any one ever
have luck getting good SWR that high up in the  band with this antenna?.
If so approximately where is the tuning rings set  at. Thanks in advance,

David,
  The tuning rings should be left alone but for very fine  tuning of the 
SWR's on an A99.  You will need to cut off the top section's  top.  I would start 
with an inch and go from there.  Start by  resetting the rings at or around 
the center of the bottom, and resonating the  antenna at 27.185 first since it 
is a CB antenna first.  From that point  cut about 1"-1.25" from the top.  
Check resonance at that point.   Continue to trim off only 1/2" or less to get you 
close.  The antenna  must be trimmed in order to get it that high in the 
band.  Some of  then will tune into the 28.30 range without much trimming but 
29MHz is a bit  high and it's just way to long.
