Gents:
Trust you're all fine.
Enjoying this Arctic Spring weather?
I'm researching antennas for 160 meters.
It appears that the vertical dipole with alterations is inviting.
The alterations are bending a portion of the vertical dipole segments into a horizontal or sloped arrangement - making it a "Cpole".
I would guess that the upper horizontal leg would act as a capacitor hat.
I would guess that the lower horizontal leg would act as a counterpoise.
Third guess is that I'm wrong hi hi.
Question: what is the best geometry?
Thank you,
Steve
