The coaxial dipole consists of a 1/4 wave element and a tube covering the coax for 1/4 wave connected to the shield. I am wondering whether a regular wire dipole would work if the 1/4 wave element is run parallel to or next to the coax shield. Thanks for the comments. Buck N4PGW
