[Antennas] thoughts and comments needed

Seems several people mentioned maybe the problem was the balun I'm using.  After carefully reviewing things, I kind of think it it, too.  

In the next few days I'm going to take the choke balun out and put a coax balun up there.  The instructions show a coil of 10 6" turns of coax taped together where the coax meets the ladderline.  

I think the antenna is reactive enough that the ferrite choke balun I was using may have saturated (probably was heating up, too) and was stopping rf.
