Hi Jim from "down South" :-)
Extending the trombone will be easy, the lower part of it is hollow and
can easily be fitted with one new thinner aluminum segment that can be
bent downwards.
As for the radials, I'll first go with the 1/4 wave size as is
described in the ARRL Antenna handbook (18th edition, page 6-8),
if this doesn't work, I'll replace the radials with new aluminum
tubing cut at least 1/2 wave so they can be sized down by try&error.
