I think the question was how to recreate the same characteristics of the  
G5RV but
only using Ladder line.  The G5RV does have a nice low Swr on 40 meteres  
due to the
transformation in the 33 feet of Ladder line.
  To recreate the same performance, the coax needs be replaced by a 1/2  
wavelength
section(at 14.1 mHz) of Ladder line, about 69.5 feet, depending on VF.
