Did you ever want to know EXACTLY where your antenna was?

Well, now I will know.

The USGS is in my front yard right now installing a "benchmark" on my
front porch using a fancy GPS they are determining the location.  Back
in 1890 they installed one about 7 feet to the east of my property
line.  No, the house was not there then.  Over the years they come by
every now and then to check it and adjust the maps based on the
location as updated by the survey team.  This time the underbrush was
so heavy that they decided to move the reference mark to my concrete
front porch where it would be easier to get to.

Now I can say with authority that my antenna is at LAT XX:XX:XX and
LON XX:XX:XX.  I will fill in the Xs after they finish the job...#8-)

Ain't that cool ???
