Chris Boone's proposed dipole is probably fine - I've never tried one that
way.
I have always built my FM dipoles using 300 ohm twinlead for both the dipole
itself and the feedline. The dipole portion actually becomes a "folded
dipole". Theoretically, you get a better match for a 300 ohm receiver.
Use the same dimension for the dipole portion as Chris gave and connect the
two wires at an end together. Pick either one of the two wires of the dipole
and solder in your twinlead to the center of that leg.
Has the advantage of being more broad band. I've use those for FM antennas
ever since I began my career as an FM broadcast engineer in 1948 at WCSI-FM
93.7 MC in Columbus, Indiana.
Enjoy!
