Notorious for injector noise too. Ford has a bulletin on RFI for ham
radio... I got mine at the car/RFI display at Dayton last year. You might
try Ford... they are sort-of on the hook to help you since they know it can
be a problem.

Subject: [Antennas] Reducing Ignition Noise
I am looking for ideas to reduce the received ignition noise in my mobile
application. I have a Yaesu FT 890AT mounted in my 2000 Ford F250. I am
using a hamstick that is mounted to the bed of the truck. The DC line runs
direct from the battery and the radio is mounted overhead in the cab. I am
getting a fair amount of what sounds like sparkplug noise that varies with
the engine speed that I would like to minimize.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
