That is a lot of radials.  I was picturing how I would go about
installing 60-75 radials for a ground mounted vertical.  I had
considered doing that a few years ago and decided it was a lot of work,
real work.  So I tried a single wire counterpoise and roof mounted my 23
foot vertical.  I feed it with open wire line and use an antenna tuner. 
It works fairly well.  Better than the all-band dipole for DX.  Now I am
wondering if 60-75 radials in a ground mounted design would work even
better.
