[Antennas] Vegetation Attenuation

Friends-
It is getting spring and the juices are raising .  Can 
anyone direct me to a source for RF attenuation in 
vegetation .

Attenuation as a function of Frequency and density of the 
vegetation?

I am of cause thinking of the situation where an eg. UHF 
antenna is mounted deep inside the branches . But also for 
a wire for 80m ,running vertical with the tree trunk, vs 
in free air.
