Bob,
This may or may not apply in your case, but a few years ago I contacted the
manufacturer of a crankup tower I own (not Hygain). My problem was the same
as yours, I needed to replace the broken cable. Furnished them with model
number, etc., and they (finally) responded after several efforts on my part,
saying they could not provide me with the "cable routing" due to insurance
restrictions. I guess that meant I might not install the cable properly, or
use inferior products, or ?? Anyway, after extending the tower to it's max
while it was on the ground, I finally figured out the pulley system and
successfully replaced the old cable.
In any case, I hope you will be able to get your tower fixed without having
to go to such extremes.
