OM's,

Has anyone used, or modeled, a CCD dipole at about 4' off the ground?

It would seem that this would make a fair NVIS antenna. The CCD antenna
has been described as having a little gain, no current nodes or voltage
high points, improved broadband characteristics, and can be laid on tree
limbs without degrading performance. The design is also suitable for
short end fed wire antennas.

A nice article in November 2002 CQ by K4VWK caught my interest and the
concept continues to intrigue me. I'm collecting parts for a 40M end
fed half wave CCD for QRP ops in the field. Scott provided a nice
spreadsheet to calulate the number and value of the capacitors in the
antenna. Construction details of the CCD Capacitor/Resistor Unit are
included in the article also.

Thanx for any info,
