I don't know ow the nomenclature got so twisted up T2FD by Countryman, published in CQ 
magazine years ago (1950s) stood for terminated 2-wire folded dipole. As someone has 
pointed out it is a very poor antenna on the lower bands, but very broadbanded and, for 
some, a satisfactory antenna above 10 MHz. I put a "bunch" of them on Eniwetok Island for 
use by the army during the atomic bomb tests in the pacific. And I had a contractor use 
them in Europe in the 1960s with some success.
