[Antennas] SOURCES OF EGG INSULATORS

First, I want to thank everyone who has responded to my call for help in
locating those "cheapie black plastic egg insulators". Many of you
suggested a source I never would have thought of... a farm supply store - in
the electric fence department. I guess this means that electric fences are
"potential" antennas. (Sorry, couldn't resist that.)

Although I live about 35 miles west of Chicago, it's still another 20 miles
to the nearest Farm & Fleet store - but it was well worth the road trip.
There, I found the coveted insulators - in bags of ten, for $1.27 per bag!
I now have a lifetime supply.

In my quest for these insulators, I came across two Internet sources, once I
knew where to search. They are: www.zarebasystems.com (thanks to Jim,
WD4AIR for that information), and the ones I found at Farm & Fleet are made
by DARE Products, Inc http://dareproducts.com (see page 10 of their online
catalog). Both are called Corner Post Insulators, and both contain a UV
inhibitor.

The information available from this list and others continues to amaze me.
Fifteen years ago, this would not have been possible. Thanks again, to
everyone who responded, and I hope the information in this posting will help
someone else in the future.

Tnx & 73,
