Suggest you consider insulators intended for HV fences in cattle operations.
They are available at farm stores and home improvement stores.
There are several different styles which can be used for various purposes.
The most recent dipole antenna I put up used yellow insulators that are very
similar to the egg insulators.
They are designed to last in outside use with sunlight, withstand high
voltage and are very light. I don't remember what I paid for the insulators but
believe it was a dollar of less each. They work great and are cheap! Only
possible downside - the bright yellow stands out.
