[Antennas] RE: B&W Ant. Quest.

The only problem I have with the B & W center-loaded dipole is that its
power-handling rating is too low. I owned one of these for some years, but
the resistor capsule turned brown from heat. I thought about buying another
one of these (gave my first one away) recently, but looked up the ratings, I
could not find what I was looking for - the power rating for RTTY.

So I queried B & W. Here is their response:

"You should limit to about 300 watts with the (direct) SWR below 2:1.

Way to low to be useful, in my opinion.

I sure would like to have the antenna with ratings to 1 KW on RTTY!
