George, Great suggestion. Why try to reinvent the wheel and go through
all of the frustration to save a few bucks. That is unless he is an
antenna wizard.
He should buy a good used one or pop for a new one.
If he is that tight for money try a multi band wire dipole for under a
100 bux.
