Add one vote for "homebrew Inverted L" ... which will
be cheaper and better than any of the above. <And
yes, it will require some radials ...>
Keep the QTH/site of the various postings ... if you
are on the coast ... just about anything plays 'well'.
If you are in the hills of the great state of Tennessee
like I am ... then ground systems and such take on
a much higher value. B-(
QST did a review on the GAP ... lowest band was not
so great <Yea, now let's try to define 'great'>. Better
on the higher bands. Lots of FORMER GAPS owners
if that's a data point to ponder.
If I had to pick of the three ... the Butternut would be
my limited choice ... AFTER I tried every way I could
to put up some form of an Inverted L.
