What is it that are so bad about Cars and antennas? When headlights and
Cars are so very OK?

I have a small GM Opel stationwagon . From factory it comes with a 1
meter long antenna on the front fender , this to provide good signal for
the FM radio . In the roof I have myself mounted a 50cm long antenna for
my 2meter transceiver.

I think the car look really good with the black 2 meter antenna in the
roof . It is a durable prof. installation providing a function : to
radiate my signals. Neither could I imagine my Car without headlights ,
they are very useful after sundown. Frankly I have never asked myself
that question: If my Car looks better without Headlights-

It is OK to paint a car Pink! add a large bullbar , higher or lower the
suspension , but one little antenna in the middle of the roof , NO! And
you know what? It is probably that little "Ant" that are going to safe
lives one day when travelling outside cell phone coverages and there is
a need for help.
