Hello Kelley,

I have a similar problem, a new SUV which I'm not ready to mark for
life in the quest for a good ground (at least not yet), tinted glass
which I'm not sure if it can support a through the glass antenna, the
need for mobile 2 meters and access to underground garages...

For now I use an old RS magnet mount on the roof, which needs to be
removed everytime I park underground or enter my home front gate...

I'm still seeking a viable solution !

In your case, I would go for a groundless antenna and antenna mount
that doesn't require the paint to be broken (they actually have paint
protectors on the alan screws).

Try looking at the Diamond NR series antennas.

73 & Happy New Year !
