[Antennas] RE: Antennas Digest, Vol 7, Issue 11

About a year ago one of my ham friends in Manila was selling out his
whole antenna farm and radios to come back to the states. He had one antenna
I wanted, a cushcraft A3S. He wanted about 30000 peso's for the whole
package. The peso was running 55 to 1 american.
I wanted it in the worst way as I had only run dipoles for 5 years now. I
made one mistake and that was talking about it to my wife. Her first
comment was the neighbors would complain about TVI. I lied an mentioned that
beams would never cause TVI. So next comment was it would damage the house
from the strong winds in the area.
Seemed like I was on the losing end. I guess the dipoles will always be
on the good side.
