I put up an antenna after I have been working on it for about a month. That is I
leave it up.

The month routine is put up the masts, take down the masts, put up masts and wire
etc, Take all down. Put all up with feedline but do not connect the feedline. Leave
for awhile.

If any complaints just say, "I wonder how bad the interference will be when I
connect it up to may radio?" "Would you please log the date time and frequency
you received the interference on so that I can work towards correcting it."

Never had any complaints after that. Neighbours TV dishes are just as bad for
sight.

This is an interesting topic.

What do you do about neighbors who mighnt not approve of a boudacious
antenna installation?

Well, first off, you dont tell them about your intentions.

A proven fact is that is much easier to ask forgivness than
permission.

Dont ask for permission. Do it. If that generates complaints, deal
with them.
