How true.  My method is to put antennas up in bad wx or at night.  Firstly,
because they always seem to work better, and secondly ( when the XYL finally
notices them) I can say with a straight face  " Oh, that antenna ???  It's been
up there for a while" .    She's forgiven me many times over the years, and
never made me take one down I wasn't ready to do away with.

I really liked the choice of radio vs hog raising idea, and will bank that one
for future needs.
